How to create a countdown timer
- Type the hours, minutes and seconds, or tap a preset such as 5 min or 1 hour.
- Press Start. The ring shows how much time is left.
- Press Pause at any time and Resume when you are ready.
- When the timer reaches zero, a sound plays and a message appears. Press Stop sound or Restart.
To reuse a time you set often — such as 25 minutes or 45 seconds — press Save current time as preset. Your presets are stored in your browser.

How do I set a countdown timer?

Can I pause the countdown?
Yes. Press Pause to freeze the time and Resume to continue. Press Reset to go back to the starting time.
Does the timer keep running in another tab?
Yes. The countdown is based on the exact finish time, so it stays correct when the tab is in the background. Keep the tab open so the sound can play.
What happens if I refresh the page?
A running countdown continues after a refresh, because the finish time is saved in your browser.
Can I save my own timer presets?
Yes. Set a time and press Save current time as preset. To remove a saved preset, press the × on it.
Why didn’t I hear the sound?
Browsers only allow sound after you interact with the page. Pressing Start counts as interaction, so sound normally works. Also check that your device is not muted.
