Browser-based tools have limits
Every tool on alarmsclock.live runs inside your web browser. Alarms, countdowns and Pomodoro sessions can only ring while the page is open and your device is awake. They may be delayed, silenced or stopped by:
- Closing the tab or the browser
- Your device sleeping, locking, restarting or running out of battery
- Power-saving or battery-optimization features
- Muted or low volume, silent mode or “Do Not Disturb”
- Browser rules that block sound until you interact with the page
- Browser or operating-system updates
For important events — such as waking up for travel, taking medication, exams or anything safety-related — always use a dedicated alarm device or your phone’s built-in alarm as your main or backup alarm.
Timing accuracy
Our stopwatch and timers are designed to be accurate for everyday use, but they are not certified timing instruments. They should not be used for official sports results, scientific measurements, legal purposes or any situation where precise, verified timing is required.
World clock information
World clock times are calculated by your browser using the IANA time zone database. Time zone rules can change at short notice, and older browsers may have outdated rules. Please confirm critical times with an official source.
